Where Teachers Fit Into the Equation

The ban does not mean teachers are locked out of modern tools. Educators can still use approved platforms for behind-the-scenes tasks like lesson planning, drafting parent communications, or translation work.

However, strict boundaries remain. Teachers cannot use algorithms for grading, behavior surveillance, writing special education plans, or counseling students. Human judgment must remain at the center of every classroom decision.

There are also narrow exceptions carved out for mandated computer-based reading and math assessments, along with specific accommodations for English language learners and students with disabilities. But the core principle stands: humans teach humans.
